Working under the director's guidance, I designed bugs for the film, Seedsmith (work in progress).

 

• Cast plastic (silicone molds)

• Aluminum wire, painted

• Tie-downs in feet

• Mesh and wire for the Pillbug's feet

 

The flowerstalk at the end is actually poseable! The stalk is a wire covered with shaped upholstery foam, brushed and detailed with Latex. The leaves are store-bought fake leaves (to fit the aesthetic) with black foil embedded between them.

 

I animated all of these shots for the film.
