About Me

GRAPHIC DESIGN: I earned my BFA in graphic design at Lamar University. I have over 6 years of experience in the sign industry, specializing in large format printing. Shifting to freelance work in 2018, my clients include mainly non-profits from my hometown in Southeast Texas. In 2021, I registered Em Square LLC to my name and I continue to produce poster art, brochures, and various other digital products for my clients.

STOP-MOTION: I love graphic design, but my true passion is stop-motion! I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with an MFA in animation and a focus in stop motion and production. During my time at SCAD, I produced the 2D/3D hybrid short film Snow Boat, my own thesis film Mascchiato, as well as a few other short films for my peers. My personal work tends to focus on small moments in time, as I find beauty in the mundane and satisfaction in the tactile and delicate nature of stop-motion puppetry. Artistic influences include Jan Švankmajer and Barry Purves.

THEATER: While saving for the move to Portland, Oregon, I volunteered at the local community theater, working backstage for many productions. I have worked as a costume assistant, stagehand, prop master, assistant stage manager, projectionist…everything was fascinating and fun!

I currently reside in Portland, Oregon, with my husband and cat, Sylvia.
